1. Local Rules

The games scheduled to be played at Shek Kip Mei & Tin Kwong Road, are all played under I.S.F. rules, with the exception of the following local rules, viz:-

A team leads the other by 20 runs after the completion of the 3 rd inning or 15 runs after the completion of the 4 th inning or 7 runs after the completion of the 5 th inning, the Chief Umpire will call off the game.

 

1.2.1) An inning is considered over after 3 outs or after 9 batters have batted in order.

1.2.2) Further to (1.2.1), the 9 th batter is entitled to a WALK HOME under the following conditions:

a) the batter is hit by a pitch ball.

b) four balls on the batter called by the umpire.

1.2.3) If a team leads the other by 15 runs after the completion of the 3 rd inning, the Chief Umpire will call off the game.

 

2. Scheduled game time

The maximum allotted time for one scheduled game :

2.1) For MA & WA – One hour & forty-five minutes (105 min).

But, once the game reached One hour and thirty-five minutes (95 min) with both sides completed their turn at bat, the Chief Umpire will call off the game.

2.1.1) Final game – 7 inning game or max. time slot for 2 hours & 30 minutes (150 min).

But, once the game reached Two hours and fifteen minutes (135 min) with both sides completed their turn at bat, the Chief Umpire will call off the game.

 

2.2) For MB, MC & WB – One hour & thirty minutes (90 min)

But, once the game reached One hour & twenty minutes (80 min) with both sides completed their turn at bat, the Chief Umpire will call off the game.

2.2.1) Final game – As same as mentioned in 2.2.

 

And if an inning has started, it has to be completed, until a decision is reached. If home team leads the other when new inning will not be considered to start again, the bottom of that inning needs not to be completed.

 

3. Tie-Breaker

Furthermore, if the score ties after the allotted play time; and to start with any extra inning,

3.1) For MA & WA – the offencing team must put a base-runner (the 9 th batter) on 2 nd base and play until the score is decided one way or the other.

 

3.2) For MB, MC & WB – the offencing team must put a base-runner (the 9 th batter) on 2 nd base & a base-runner (the 8 th batter) on 3 rd base with 1 out and play until the score is decided one way or the other.
