All the Sports Festival games scheduled to be played at Shek Kip Mei & Tin Kwong Road, are all played under I.S.F. rules, with the exception of the following local rules, viz:-
For MA & WA
A team leads the other by 20 runs after the completion of the 3 rd inning, 15 runs after the completion of the 4 th inning or 10 runs after the completion of the 5 th inning, the Chief Umpire will call the game off.
An inning is considered over after 3 outs or after 6 batters have batted in order.
II) Further to (I), the 6 th batter is entitled to a WALK HOME under the following conditions:
III) If a team leads the other by 15 runs after the completion of the 3 rd inning, the Chief Umpire will call the game off.
The maximum allotted time for one scheduled game :
A) For MA & WA – One hour & thirty minutes (90 min).
But, once the game reached One hour and ten minutes (70 min) with both sides completed their turn at bat, the Chief Umpire will call the game off.
B) For MB (B), MB (G), MC & WB – One hour & fifteen minutes (75 min).
But, once the game reached One hour & five minutes (65 min) with both sides completed their turn at bat, the Chief Umpire will call the game off.
And if an inning has started, it has to be completed until a decision is reached. But when the home team gets a lead in the bottom half of the new inning, then the Chief Umpire will call the game off and declare the game is over; as there is no need to have the inning completed.
Furthermore, if the score ties after the allotted play time; and to start with any extra inning,
A) For MA & WA – the offencing team must put a base-runner on 2 nd basewith 1 out and play until the score is decided one way or the other.
B) For MB (B), MB (G), MC & WB – the offencing team must put a base-runner on 2 nd & 3 rd base with 2 outs and play until the score is decided one way or the other.
