All the Sports Festival final games scheduled to be played at Tin Kwong Road, are all played under I.S.F. rules, with the exception of the following local rules, viz:-
For MA, MB & WA
A team leads the other by 20 runs after the completion of the 3 rd inning, 15 runs after the completion of the 4 th inning or 10 runs after the completion of the 5 th inning, the Chief Umpire will call off the game.
For MC & WB
An inning is considered over after 3 outs or after 9 batters have batted in order.
II) Further to (I), the 9 th batter is entitled to a WALK HOME under the following conditions:
III) If a team leads the other by 15 runs after the completion of the 3 rd inning, the Chief Umpire will call off the game.
The maximum allotted time for one scheduled game :
A) For MA, MB & WA – Two hours & thirty minutes (150 mins).
But, once the game reached two hours and fifteen minutes (135 mins) with both sides completed their turn at bat or seven innings completed, the Chief Umpire will call off the game.
B) For MC & WB – One hour & thirty minutes (90 mins).
But, once the game reached One hour & five minutes (80 mins) with both sides completed their turn at bat, the Chief Umpire will call off the game.
And if an inning has started, it has to be completed, until a decision is reached. If home team leads the other when new inning will not be considered to start again, the bottom of that inning needs not to be completed.
Furthermore, if the score ties after the allotted play time or seven innings completed; and to start with any extra inning,
A) For MA, MB & WA – the offencing team must put a base-runner on 2 nd base and play until the score is decided one way or the other.
B) For MC & WB – the offencing team must put a base-runner on 2 nd & 3 rd base with 2 outs and play until the score is decided one way or the other.
